{the colors of happiness} into the wild

Source: Image by Vancouver wedding photographer Fran Chelico.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods;
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar;
I love not man the less, but Nature more…
– Lord Byron

You’re nowhere but you’re there. You close you eyes, and there’s nothing but silence. Maybe a couple of birds singing in the distance. The sound of the canoe brushing passed the water. Your breath. It’s quite an incredible feeling, isn’t it, to be surrounded by so much wilderness? You feel big and small at the same time, impressed and like you belong. I miss this feeling. Friends, I need to get out and into the wild very soon….because,  really,  Central Park just doesn’t quite cut it anymore -even the squirrels come eat out of your hand!
