{No more blank walls} Animal collages by John Murphy

I’ve mentioned this before, but I just love going to the Brooklyn flea on Sundays – because I know that every time, no matter how often I go, I’m going to find something amazing that I’ve never seen before. Not that I don’t do that the rest of the week – I find lots of great things every day, thanks to Pinterest for the most part. But there is nothing like being able to see and touch and smell when you’re looking for new inspiration.

In any case, during my last trip I came across these beautiful collages by John Murphy.

I find them just stunning – the mix of drawing and collage, the contrast between black & white and warm hues. And seeing these animals covered in flowers, I don’t know why, but it makes me smile from ear to ear. Make sure to go and check out the rest of his work!

I have the elephant one and I love it. I just need to get it framed!

    Hi Audrey
My friend Karen (as in Karen&Simon) told me about your website, and I am absolutely thrilled that she did! Love the colours, the shopping and the inspiration. Especially these animal collages caught my attention, and now I think I have to rip my bank account and hang a flowery large elephant on my naked living room wall. :-)
    Thanks!

Hi Cecilie – Glad you like the blog! Yes, I love John’s collages too – and yes, everybody needs a large flowery elephant on their walls so don’t feel bad for your bank account 😉
